My name is Tristan Ringhofer, and I absolutely love teaching 5th graders. I was born and raised in Fresno, and went to Fresno Pacific University, which is where I received my BA. I met my husband, Jordan, at FPU in choir. After we got married, we moved to Salem, Oregon, for 6 years for ministry. I got my MAT in Oregon, at Willamette University, and taught first grade for a few years before we felt the Lord call us back to California. I’ve been at Immanuel since the 2011-2012 school year, and have fallen in love with the family-like community here. We have 2 sons named Ezra and Ezekiel. As you can imagine, I love spending my free time with my family. Outside of that, some of my favorite things are: reading, drinking tea, going on long walks, spending time at the beach, and kayaking.
A favorite verse for fifth graders to live by is: 1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.”
5th Grade field trips and experiences: Dissecting pigs in a Body Systems Unit (paired with 4th grade), taking a charter bus to the Ronald Reagan Library in Southern California or to the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, an overnight trip here at school for our Astronomy Unit, and a walking field trip to the Reedley Beach for our Biomes Unit.
