Immanuel is an amazing place to be! I am so excited to be a part of this community as a teacher and as a parent. My family and I moved from Buffalo, New York, to Fresno, California, in August of 2014. It has been quite a change, but we are thankful for the relationships that we have developed at Immanuel! My husband and I have been married for 23 years, and we have three awesome children: Eden, Hannah, and Josiah. Our two youngest children attend IES and have enjoyed making many new friends here.

Over the years, I have had a variety of teaching opportunities. I started my career teaching in public schools in the suburbs of New York City. After 11 years, God called my family to ministry in Buffalo where I home schooled my two daughters for another 11 years. God then opened a door for me to teach in a private Christian school for 2 years.

I am excited to now bring my teaching experience to Immanuel. I love working with my second grade class! The students learn important math skills through hands-on activities. Reading and writing are integrated into all subject areas. We learn about the world around us in science and social studies through a Christian perspective.

I am blessed to educate young minds and share the love of Jesus with them! “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:5
