God has taken me on an incredible journey to arrive here at Immanuel. At times it was sweet and other times a struggle – but He has always continued to be my strength and peace. I grew up in Reedley attending Washington Elementary, General Grant Jr. High and Reedley High School. Our family attended RMBC, where my grandfather served as the pastor for many years. I came from a sports "crazed" family and had two older brothers who were athletes. I was always watching sports or involved in them myself. I am blessed to have two grown daughters, one living in Kingsburg and the other in Annapolis, Maryland. They are both married and the oldest has given me two wonderful grandsons – one a student at Immanuel Elementary School.
For the past 10+ years I have been involved in the running of Xcelerate Fitness, a small chain of full service fitness clubs. So although I have been involved in the business world, being healthy and active has continued to be an important part of my life. My goal for the elementary PE program at Immanuel Elementary School is to give all students a positive experience, while improving health, fitness and physical activity levels – ultimately promoting the desire for a lifetime of wellness. I want my students to learn exercise doesn’t have to be boring….it can be fun!
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."" – Philippians 4:6-7
